Established in 2001, Advanced Step has upgraded from the old hand-made orthotic manufacturing process to the latest CAD/CAM technology in 2011. Our work is expertly designed by two qualified experienced podiatrists with a deep understanding of Biomechanics.
What makes our Orthoses different is that our clients achieve the best possible patient outcomes. Our extensive range of devices was developed using evidence-based research, advanced manufacturing techniques and the highest quality of materials and skilled craftsmanship.
The Advanced Step Team is easily available to discuss patient cases and advise on the best Orthotic Solution. We consistently provide our clients with Excellent Quality Manufactured Products and Services with a turn-around delivery time of three to five working days at the best competitive prices.
Our lab has amongst the World’s best technology in manufacturing orthotic and insoles and is South Africa’s first CAD/CAM lab in the Podiatric industry. CAD- Computer assisted design and CAM - Computer assisted manufacturing. All our devices are computerised and custom made for each patient with 100% accuracy.
Not only do we make orthotics and insoles for our practice but also supply other Podiatrists, Chiropractors, Physiotherapists and Biokineticists.
Our process is as follows:
Step 1: 3D Foot scan , foam box impression or cast of patient taken.
Step 2: 3D foot model is then adjusted on specialised software to create a specific design of the custom made orthotic.
Step 3: Specialised machinery then creates the orthotic for the patient.
